1. A few select LaVeyan and LaVeyan-leaning symbolic Satanists

   The following is by no means a comprehensive list of LaVeyan-oriented websites, just a few that I personally find interesting for whatever reason.

   • The Church of Satan -- the best-known Satanic org, founded by Anton LaVey. Site includes:
   • An annotated translation of the poem Hymn to Satan by Giosue Carducci
   • The History of the Use of the Sigil of Baphomet in the Church of Satan
   • Satanism by Vexen Crabtree - one of the more articulate LaVeyans
   • DevilSpawn - includes a library of quite a few articles from the 1990's. (Note: This site includes a few articles advocating violent criminal activity, which the vast majority of Satanists, including LaVeyans, do not endorse.)

   
   

2. Some of the more interesting non-LaVeyan symbolic Satanists (and Luciferians)

   • Sinagogue of Satan founded by Mike Margolin, a.k.a. The Mad Poet
   • The Tim Maroney Web Collection, especially Hekate and the Satanic School and The Freedom of Doubt. Tim Maroney is primarily a Thelemite, but has also identified himself as a Satanist or Luciferian.
   • Luciferian Liberation Front, hosted on the website the Ministry of Truth, an outgrowth of one of the best-known parody religions, the Church of the Subgenius. Please note: The LLF is intended as a JOKE. (It may at first glance appear to be serious. But see the paragraph titled "Get Out of Hell for Free!" near the bottom of this page. Also, the name "Ministry of Truth" is clearly intended to be ironic; it was the name of the government propaganda agency in George Orwell's novel 1984,) Nevertheless, the LLF site does an excellent job of exposing some of the more unsavory passages in the Christian Bible. It also parodies conspiracy theories and speculation about extraterrestrials. (Some readers have taken these parodies seriously as real warnings.)

   • Great Martyrdom Cult FAQ (one of six distinct alt.satanism FAQ files on TOKUS)
   • Society of Dark Lily, and another Society of Dark Lily site.

   
   

3. Other sites with info or writings on Satanism

   • International Satanism Meetup Day - looks like a great way to meet Satanists offline. Unfortunately, it's probably dominated by atheistic/symbolic Satanists, but that may change if enough theistic Satanist sites link to them. (The Meetup site itself does not impose any particular viewpoint.) So, if you're a theistic Satanist with a website, please link to them too.

   • alt.satanism FAQ files, including the original alt.satanism FAQ, which seems not to have been substantially updated since the mid-1990's C.E.  (Note:  The alt.satanism newsgroup itself is notoriously flame-ridden, Christian-evangelist-ridden, and generally noisy. For more productive online dialogue among Satanists, I recommend moderated email groups such as my own.)
   • Satanism Archive on Necronomi.com. Dated, but an interesting historical snapshot from the early-to-mid-1990's.
   • About.com on Satanism
   • SatanicRituals.com -- lots of reviews of relevant books, with links to Amazon.com so you can buy them.
   • Black Lotus Monastery

   
   

4. Chaos magick

   Although not specifically Satanic, Chaos mages generally do tend to classify themselves as "Left-Hand Path."

6. Other interesting stuff

   • Evil on the Internet Sacred Text Archive, including an online copy of The History of the Devil and the Idea of Evil by Paul Carus (1900 C.E.)
   • Kill 'Em All! by Charles Nemo. There are lots of sites celebrating "Evil" these days. This is one of the more intelligent ones, and also contains a good brief article debunking the Satanic / ritualistic crimes myth.
   • Online copy of The Varieties of Religious Experience by William James -- a classic
